Fine Gael spent the most on META advertising during the general election.

The Dublin Airport Authority has been in the news recently. It has lodged a new planning application with Fingal County Council seeking to raise the passenger limit at Dublin Airport from 32m to 36m per year. The DAA is in Fingal County Council. Fun fact. Fingal County Council (dark green) has the same GDP as all of Northern Ireland combined. (Pink). The total economic impact of Dublin Airport amounts to 3.1% of the National GDP.
Ireland’s population continues to grow, but immigration has been a significant factor in this growth in recent years.
Ireland has the 3rd highest asylum applications in the EU.
Ireland had the 2nd best-performing economy in the world in 2024, according to The Economist.
