I wonder what life would be like if we didn't have social media, mobile phones, email, zooming, Netflix, Whatsapp or even a basic computer.
That was the reality for most of my life. How did we cope? Well quite well actually. I was born into a world of 1 tv station (rte that was it) a black and white small tv , no house phone. Communication by letter or if urgent a very expensive telegram.
Was life better? No not better but different. More relaxed I'd say. Did we have multinational companies to guide us through life? No we had corner shops and shopping trips to Moore Street.
I can imagine that today's youth would find it difficult to adapt but I don't think they will have to worry. I won't say it will never happen, our idiot warmongering politicians are very busy trying to push us into a new world war but personally I think that common sense will prevail and we will avoid the inevitable consequences of such a monumental blunder.
Our government and dept of defence is playing the ostrich about this!!
I trust the Royal Navy will be called in!
